As a photographer, I am a fan of proposals. It is so beautiful to witness the beginning of a couple's forever. However, photographing the engagement of your sweet friends is at another level (insert crying emoji here). The story of Karla and Joseph is super special so grab a cup of coffee and read on!
When my friend Karla told me she was getting to know a special someone I got so excited for her because seeing your friends in love is amazing, but little did I know that this special guy was someone I knew from years back and so did she!
Karla and Joseph met back in 2007 at church, but they were young and each went their separate ways. I met Joseph about 8 years later (in 2015) via my sister-in-law Melody because Melody's husband Jeziel is Joseph's brother. I met Karla in 2013 also via Melody and we became good friends a few years after meeting her. Over the years, I saw both of them on different occasions, but I never put them together in my head or imagined one day they would fall in love just like in those movies where the main character reconnects with a childhood acquaintance and they fall in love.
In 2022, Karla shared with me that she had reconnected with Joseph, and possibly something more than a friendship could happen. I thought, "Oh my gosh, this is so exciting!!" Fast forward to June, Karla and Joseph ended up falling in love and are now officially engaged!
Joseph, with the amazing support of Innovative Colour Productions, set up the dreamiest proposal in the beautiful waters of Bayshore in Tampa, Florida. Joseph went on one knee in a gorgeous retro boat by Riverwalk Boating Co and Karla said YES! Their friends and family were also a part of this special moment which made it even more sentimental!
